Our popular “I Shot a Zombie at Border Tactical” promo is back! We have an all-new T-shirt design this year, and you only have 2 weeks to get your free shirt! Here’s how it works: If you are a member, come down to the range, buy a Zombie Target, shoot at least one round downrange at the target (you have to hit it!) and you get a free Border Tactical Zombie T-shirt. If you’re not a member, you can still get a zombie T-shirt for free, just come to the range, rent a lane, buy a box of ammo, a zombie target, and hit your target at least 10 times. Then we’ll give you your free T-shirt. If you choose to join Border Tactical Indoor Range this month as a member, we’ll waive the initiation fee and give you a zombie Tee, just hit your zombie target with at least one round after you join.

We only have 100 T-shirts, and they always go fast!

Dove Hunting Season!

August 22nd, 2013 | No Comments | Posted in Events

doveDove Season is about to start, and we have what you need! We’ve been stocking up on ammunition, we are well stocked with 12-gauge, 20, and even 410. We have some great Realtree shirts by 5.11 Tactical, we have folding chairs in cammo, first aid packs, shotguns, vests, slings, carry backs and gun socks, pretty much everything needed for the hunter. Be sure you buy lots of shotgun ammo now, while you can still buy lead ammo. The state legislature, with the Democrats leading the way, are very close to passing AB 711, a bill that will ban all lead ammo for hunting in the state of California, so next season there might not be any lead ammo to be purchased. Want more information? Click here. This bill is in the “suspense” status in the state senate, which means the state senate pretends the bill is dead until the last few hours of the legislative year, and then they re-activate it and pass it in the dead of night.

First Shots April 20th

April 12th, 2013 | No Comments | Posted in Events

Another great class coming up on Saturday April 20th. The First Shots class is sponsored by the NSSF, National Shooting Sports Foundation. With their cooperation, we are able to offer a handgun class just for first-time shooters, taught by instructors who remember what it was like to be a first-timer. For just $10, new shooters will get to use our firearms, our ammunition, all safety gear, targets, range time, and refreshments!

These classes fill up fast! The morning class begins at 9 a.m. and is just for kids over the age of 12, but each kid must bring a parent who will also go through the same class. The afternoon class, beginning at 2pm, is for adults age 18 and over.

The biggest challenge for new shooters is getting started. First Shots makes getting started in shooting very easy — and, best of all, it’s only $10. At our First Shots seminar, you’ll receive an educational introduction to the safe and recreational use of firearms, a clear understanding of the local requirements for owning and purchasing a firearm, and a chance to give shooting a try!

The two-hour program includes an hour of classroom instruction, and time on the shooting range with a certified instructor close by. Cost is only $10 (kids free when accompanied by a paying parent), and covers all expenses, including use of the handgun, ammunition, instructional material, eye & ear protection, range time, and refreshments.

Our instructors are patient and kind, they remember how it was the first time they fired a firearm. After the class, the new shooter will know the safety aspects of shooting, how to sight a gun on the target, how to safely load, unload, and reload a firearm, and how to safely conduct themselves on the range.

Reservations are required, call the range at 353-4884 to reserve a spot. Class sizes are limited to ensure safety and good student-instructor ratios. These classes always fill  up early, so call ahead to register and save your spot.

The BEAST is Coming!

January 4th, 2013 | No Comments | Posted in Events

5.11 Tactical is sending their BEAST truck, a one-of-a-kind F-350 that has been modified to hold 5.11’s new forcible entry tools, and a demonstration door that you can practice on with these tools. We’ll have the truck, and the developer of the tools, at the I V Expo fairgrounds this Monday, January 7th, from noon till 1:30pm. Made especially for SWAT & other special teams, and for others like EMS and firefighters who have to open locked doors in a hurry, these tools are hand-held but tough, and revolutionary in their design.

If you or members of your team would like to attend this demonstration, please RSVP to us at 353-4884, or just email a reply to this newsletter.
